READ THIS FIRST:
Because of Wikipedia:Risk disclaimer, this is my advice on quick-moving events.
- Wikipedia is a historical encyclopedia.
- Wikipedia is not a newspaper: Wikipedia is not a news source; it is not a good source for "Breaking News".
- Wikipedia:There is no deadline: Editors get no points for making an early edit and there is no added clout here for being first.
- Wikipedia:No original research: Editors don't need to add something just because they think or even "know" it's going to happen.
- Wikipedia:Ownership of content: Even early edits are open to other editors making drastic changes.
- Wikipedia:Summary style and Wikipedia:Writing better articles#Be concise: Avoid unnecessary formalism and excessive details.
Thank you. —GoldRingChip

Alice in Chains self-titled
[edit]I am not finished expanding this article. It is a very long translation process. Would you mind leaving those print sources as you found them? I am going to use them all eventually, but I'm maybe only a third of the way done. mftp dan oops 07:18, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
Eponymous category eponymous member sort order
[edit]Hi, it's standard practice that the eponymous member of an eponymous category is top-sorted, usually by using a space. I noticed that this had been changed with this edit (right at the end). Thought you ought to know. All the best: Rich Farmbrough 17:28, 21 December 2024 (UTC).
- That was my oversight and I am glad it has been corrected. —GoldRingChip 20:40, 21 December 2024 (UTC)

US House elections in [insert state] articles
[edit]I was looking through Category:Articles lacking sources from March 2025 and noticed a lot of stubs you made about US House elections in various states (the ones I looked at it seems like you made around 2018, so it's been a while). Do you still know what sources you used? I imagine you must have had some standard source in order to create so many articles, so it would be helpful to be able to add it. Mrfoogles (talk) 03:55, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, glad you asked! I created these as placeholders/stubs so that future editors (maybe you?) could come in later and fill in greater details. They were basically forked from larger articles about the nation-wide elections. So, for example, 1800 United States House of Representatives election in Georgia was forked from 1800–01 United States House of Representatives elections. —GoldRingChip 13:11, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
