Spoiler Effect?

[edit]

Should we consider adding a section to this page summarizing the main points of Vote splitting#"Spoiler effect" ? It is mentioned briefly and linked in one of the sections here, but considering the outsize influence the spoiler effect in third party strategy discourse (and with respect to Duverger's law) it seems like a relevant addition. I would support that idea - it seems to be one of (if not the) top talking point in media coverage and may benefit from more examination in the article itself between the camps of:
1) no effect
2) less effect than most expect
3) significant effect Superb Owl (talk) 07:32, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Moving page to "Third party (U.S. politics)"?

[edit]

Given there are other meanings for the term third-party, it might be clearer to specify that this article only deals with politics and is not discussing a uniquely American law or legal meaning to an English word, for example.
